What do healthy joints need ?

An old Chinese proverb says that at birth we are given the number of breaths, the number of heartbeats and the number of movements our joints can handle during our lifetime. And it’s up to us how we use them or save them during our lives. Joints need two things to function properly, that is, in a way that doesn’t wear them out excessively. Movement and nutrition.

MOVEMENT
During movement, the cartilage, which forms an important part of the joint and which degenerates with age, sucks up the synovial fluid that surrounds and nourishes it like a sponge. When it is inactive, it flushes this fluid out, and if this process continues for a long time, it does not receive the necessary nutrients and may dry out. Thus it becomes damaged and causes pain or stiffness. Therefore, regular and correct movement is an important prerequisite for keeping healthy cartilage for as long as possible.

NUTRITION
The second prerequisite is proper nutrition rich in cartilage components, surrounding tissues and synovial fluid. These substances are found almost exclusively in animal foods such as cartilage, spicules, or bone broth. If you don’t get enough protein from these products in your diet it is possible to supplement with a nutritional supplement – MOVE.
